Best Stroller For Disney World Reviews

Baby Jogger City Mini – Best Double Stroller for Disney

If you search for double strollers, one of the most popular ones will be the Baby Jogger City Mini. From the name itself, this stroller is promoted by the brand to use for city living. And if you’ve read our review of the best strollers for cities, you’ll see other models from the same brand.

It makes sense to get an urban-approved stroller for Disney World because it proves itself useful in crowded areas and long walks. But if you have twins or two toddlers with you, you’ll be adding another category when it comes to choosing the stroller that you’ll need.

Double strollers have the reputation of being bulkier. Because the seats are side by side, you will be limited in maneuverability. Not to mention, folding it will still leave you with something heavy to carry around.

Double Yet Manageable

But before you lose hope, check this model out. This is our top recommendation for double strollers. For starters, this model is still easy to push through narrow walkways. Tall parents don’t have to slouch because the height of the handlebar is not too low. We also tested that you can steer the stroller with one hand.

The quality of City Mini in terms of maneuverability is also good thanks to having the option of locking the front swivel wheels plus front wheel suspension to keep your kiddos comfortable and safe. And speaking of safety, the single action brakes are easy to set. Lastly, you don’t have to worry about flat tires because the EVA wheels are puncture-proof with sealed ball bearings.

Suitable for Newborns

What about the seats? The City Mini is usable from birth. So if you are visiting Disney World with much younger babies, you can still use this stroller. To make it safe for babies who can’t use neck support on their own, you can use car seat adapters to transform it into a travel system.

Comfortable and Adjustable Seats

The seats on the stroller themselves are also comfortable. The upright and recline positions give your kids the option to observe Disney or take a nap while waiting in line. The padding is also soft, and it helps that the tops are vented for maximum comfort.

You will need to rethread the shoulder straps to adjust the harness, but regardless, they are easy to put on and take off. We think the four levels are enough to accommodate most kids so you can use the City Mini as your kids grow. You can also quickly tighten the harness, and the strap buckles feel secure. This is important for visiting any parks like Disney World to ensure your children’s safety.

Generous Shade

As we have mentioned in our buyer’s guide, the canopies are also something to consider when choosing your next stroller for Disney World. City Mini has generous canopies for each seat. They are extendable and even have peek-a-boo windows for breathability and maximum coverage.

For the storage, this is where City Mini becomes underwhelming. Understandably, the model has to have a smaller basket to save in the overall bulk. It can carry up to 10 pounds of gear, but accessing it will be hard, especially when the seats are reclined. You can also use an additional 2-pound allowance of storage using the mesh pockets at each seat for smaller items or add a parent console or cooler bag for other items.

Effortless Fold

Lastly, you’ll be pleased that the City Mini is a double stroller that won’t ask double of your patience when it comes to folding. Once you remove the safety strops, the frame will fold on itself after you lift the fabric handle at the seat. It will self-stand and automatically lock on its own to make sure it won’t come undone when carrying or storing it.

Pros
  • Narrow for a double stroller
  • Handlebar is comfortable for tall parents
  • Puncture-proof wheels
  • Can be used with infant car seats
  • Easy adjustable seats and harness
  • Generous and breathable canopies
  • Quick folding with auto lock and self-standing
Cons
  • Underwhelming storage

BOB Revolution Flex 2.0 – Best Jogger for Disney World

Up next is our top pick for those looking for a jogging stroller to bring in Disney World. Among the types of strollers, jogging strollers are going to be high in rank when it comes to ease of maneuverability. After all, they are usually lightweight and meant to withstand running. And while you will not run around Disney World, the qualities of a jogging stroller will still be compatible for you.

A Joy to Maneuver

Disney is supposed to be the happiest place on earth, so it only fits to get a stroller that would keep you happy and joyful. Among this list, Revolution is probably one of the easiest to control and push around. It doesn’t matter if the surfaces are not always ideal because of the quality of the stroller’s parts.

Because it is a jogging stroller, it uses an adjustable suspension system and large rubber tires. Think of it as having the qualities of a mountain bike in a stroller. You can, of course, lock the front wheels to make it more manageable to control. Overall, Revolution is comfortable not just for the parent, but also for the passenger.

And did we mention that Revolution uses an adjustable handlebar? You can customize it to your liking so that it is compatible with every user. It is also covered in foam, so it’s ergonomic to grip. From the top, let’s talk about the brake. Revolution uses a foot pedal. It is easy to set and release, and our toes remain unhurt. There is also a wrist strap, which is a nice addition, especially when you’re in the crowded part of the park.

From Birth to Toddlerhood

Like the previous stroller, Revolution allows infant car seats using a separate car seat adapter. This makes it safer for babies so you won’t have to buy another model. And speaking of which, the adapter is not limited to the brand so you can use your existing infant car seat.

The seat itself is easy to recline and adjust to accommodate naps. At the same time, you’ll be pleased that Revolution uses a no-rethread harness. This saves you time and effort when it comes to getting the proper harness fit.

However, both the leg rest and footrest are not adjustable. But nonetheless, they are comfortable and durable. Lastly, the canopy of Revolution is also as impressive. It is large enough and provides good ventilation regardless of the seat adjustment.

Store More

You don’t need to carry an additional bulky bag because Revolution has a large basket underneath. You can also organize your items better thanks to the pockets inside and behind the seat. This way, both you and your child have areas for your personal belongings. However, there is no child tray or parent tray.

The Drawback

So far, Revolution is very impressive. The only drawback we have about it is the fact that folding it still leaves you with a big stroller. You can take the wheels off to save in bulk, but it doesn’t have a carry strap. It also doesn’t auto-lock and self-stand, unlike the previous model.
Pros
  • Very easy to maneuver
  • Adjustable handlebar and suspension system
  • Durable parts
  • Infant car seat compatible
  • No-rethread harness
  • Easy to adjust and recline
  • With leg rest and footrest
  • Generous canopy and storage basket
  • Multiple pockets
Cons
  • Not the best in portability

Maclaren Twin Triumph – Best Double Umbrella Stroller for Disney World

Besides the Baby Jogger City Mini, the Twin Triumph from Maclaren is also a reasonable consideration for a double stroller. And like most umbrella types, this model is lightweight at only 23 pounds.

High Quality Build

Among this list, Maclaren is going to be one of the most impressive models in terms of the overall build. The materials and parts of the stroller are good quality, so the whole product is sturdy and durable. There are no parts that seem flimsy, and the high-tech aircraft-grade aluminum frame proves itself lightweight yet solid. This is important when going on trips, so you don’t need to worry about random stroller damages.

You also don’t need to buy a new stroller when parts like wheels, seats, or hoods get damaged over time. Maclaren offers self-service replaceable parts, which we think would be great to save you some money in the long run.

Now, let’s talk about the model’s maneuverability. Like the previous double stroller, Maclaren managed to fit through narrow pathways and doorways. If you’re going through crowds and sidewalks in Disney World, you won’t struggle with the model’s footprint.

Easy to Control

The wheels of the strollers are also made of EVA, so that you can say goodbye to flat tires. At the same time, even though the stroller uses 6 wheels in the front, it is still easy to control and steer. It helps that the unit has an all-wheel suspension, so bumpy surfaces wouldn’t be difficult to go over to. And lastly, we like that the brake is easy to use even if you’re using sandals. The pedal even makes a sound, so you’ll know if you engaged the breaks successfully.

The Setback

As for the seats, you can recline them via a press of the button, depending on each child’s desired position. However, be aware that you can’t use this stroller for infants because it doesn’t support infant car seats. We are also quite disappointed with how frustrating the harness adjustment is because of the threading system and stiff buckles.

On the bright side, your child wouldn’t experience harsh brightness because of the expandable canopies. They have visors for additional protection and zippered panels that you can open to improve airflow. However, note that this model doesn’t have peek-a-boo windows.

Bin for Each Seat

The storage of the stroller is unique because Maclaren uses one on each seat. Because of this design, you can organize the items of each child much easier. However, this also means that you can only put small diaper bags on each basket. There is also a pocket at the back of each canopy for smaller things.

How does Maclaren folds? We are pleased with the fact that the unit folds quickly. But if using your feet is something you hate in folding, skip this model. This stroller will lock on its own, but know that it doesn’t self-stand. There is also a carry strap to make the portability of the stroller around Disney World more hassle-free.

Pros
  • High quality materials and build
  • All-wheel suspension
  • Puncture-proof tires
  • Comfortable brakes
  • Large canopy
  • Bins and pockets for each seat
  • Auto-locking after folding
  • With carry strap
Cons
  • Infant car seat incompatible
  • Harness is not easy to adjust

Chicco Cortina Together – Editor’s Choice

So far, we have been reviewing double strollers. And coincidentally, our top favorite among this list is also one. The Chicco Cortina Together is an inline double stroller so you wouldn’t struggle with its width. But at the same time, it is packed with features that will make your trip to Disney World comfortable and smooth.

Let’s start first with its maneuverability. The handle is padded and adjustable. At the same time, Cortina uses dual wheels at the front and single at the back. To be honest, we aren’t fond of this type of wheels just because we feel like it’s easier to turn the single ones.

However, you’ll be surprised that Cortina can handle bumps and rough surfaces. You can also lock the front wheels for much better control.

The braking system, on the other hand, is pretty easy because of the size. And if you think you’ll be much more comfortable in sandals in Disney World, you’ll be pleased that Cortina will still be easy on your toes.

So what about the seats? Inline double strollers are great in terms of saving footprint. However, because of the seat orientation, taller children may not feel comfortable because they won’t be able to stretch their legs.

This isn’t a huge problem in Cortina because this stroller is roomy. The seats are also nicely padded with the ability to recline for additional comfort. Just make sure to check the model’s recommended limits before purchasing it.

Use for Twins or Siblings

As you can assume, the front seat can’t recline as far compared to the rear seat. However, it has a bassinet enclosure for newborns, so if you have kids of different ages; this stroller is for your family. This is one of the reasons why Cortina is our favorite since families going to Disney World with either siblings or twins can use it.

Now, if you have twins that are both young, you can use infant car seats both on the front and rear seats. Chicco’s KeyFit and KeyFit 30 car seats are actually compatible with the front seat that you won’t need adapters or straps.

Overall, the seats are comfortable and safe. The harnesses are easily adjustable but also padded, so they don’t irritate the skin. And as you can see, the front seat even has a soft-covered armbar for added security and support.

The Negative

What about the canopies? It is typical for an inline stroller to have useless canopies. You can expect that Cortina offers smaller shade protection compared to the other models in this list. On the bright side, they provide superb ventilation and are removable to save bulk.

Storage Accessories and Zippered Basket

Thankfully, the basket of Cortina is not as underwhelming as the canopies. It’s also quite unique among the bunch because it is zippered so you can access it quicker. It can fit a large diaper bag, and the total capacity is 10 pounds.

For your kids, you can also use the included cup holders that the child at the front can access. However, note that the bumper bar does not swing out, and since the cups are not equally distributed, you have to swap them so that no child feels that it’s unfair. And for the parent, you’ll like the additional storage in your tray by the handle. This is perfect for holding your essentials or drinks while you stroll around Disney World.

Self-Standing Fold

Lastly, the Cortina is easy to bring around or store. It is a double stroller, so expect that it wouldn’t be as compact. However, it folds quickly after you’ve folded the canopies, pulled the lever on the handle, and pressed on the basket. After you pull up, the frame will end up in a standing fold.

Pros
  • Inline seat orientation
  • Adjustable handle
  • Locking front wheels
  • Easy-to-use brakes
  • Can be used for kids of same or different age
  • Infant-compatible
  • Reclining seats with front armbar
  • Bassinet mode on the rear seat
  • Zippered basket
  • Parent tray
  • Cup holders for kids
  • Self-standing fold
Cons
  • Useless canopies

2018 UPPAbaby G-Luxe – Best Umbrella Stroller for Disney World

As we have said in our buyer’s guide, the best stroller to take to Disney World should be something easy to use and comfortable for the whole family. The G-Luxe from UPPAbaby is our best recommendation if you think an umbrella stroller is your perfect match for your next trip to see the Disney princesses.

The maneuverability may not be as impressive as BOB Revolution Flex 2.0, but we think you won’t lose patience and bathe in sweat while walking around Disney World with G-Luxe. It uses single wheels at the front and double at the back, and they handle movement pretty well.

Toe-Friendly Brakes

And if you’re a fan of single-action brakes, G-Luxe is comfortable to both set and release. The brakes are color-coded as well so you don’t need to lift them. Just press the same pedal when it’s time to release the brake. It also helps that this model is under 20 pounds and uses an all-wheel suspension.

Reclining Seat and Adjustable Leg Rest

The seat of the G-Luxe is adjustable with just one hand because all you need to do is press a button. It doesn’t reach a very deep recline, but will still be able to provide good angles. The stroller also has an adjustable leg rest, and the footrest feels durable against wear and tear. However, like most umbrella strollers, be aware that the G-Luxe has no bassinet mode and is not compatible with infant car seats.

Easy-to-Clean Seat

You might also appreciate that the padding, and fabric of the seat itself are completely removable. If your little one happens to make a mess after the rides at Disney World, clean-up of the G-Luxe will be smooth.

Magnetic Peek-a-Boo Window

The canopy of G-Luxe extends pretty far and you can pull the visor out for additional coverage. For ventilation, it has a mesh peek-a-boo window. We appreciate that UPPAbaby opted for a magnetic closure because it’s much easier and quieter to use than Velcro.

Sadly, the storage of G-Luxe is not that easy to access, especially when the seat is reclined. However, you can use the pocket behind the canopy if you need items within your reach. The unit also comes with a cup holder that you can remove as well.

Umbrella Fold

Lastly, G-Luxe folds the same way as most umbrella strollers. This means you’ll need both hands to use the release handle and button to collapse the frame. But on the bright side, it does stand on its own, and will automatically lock once folded. You might also like the fact that folding it doesn’t require feet.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Press to engage and release the brake
  • Easy reclining seat
  • Adjustable leg rest
  • Removable seat fabric and padding
  • Extendable canopy with pull-out visor
  • Magnetic peek-a-boo window
  • Self-standing and auto-locking when folded
Cons
  • Not compatible for infants
  • Basket is not easily accessible

Joovy Caboose Ultralight – Best Sit and Stand Stroller for Disney World

If you have kids of different ages, a good quality sit and stand stroller like these will make your walks and trips much easier. You can use the stroller seat for an infant or toddler, and older kids can ride along by sitting or standing behind. If you’re going to Disney World, you can keep your kids safe because you can have them in just one stroller.

Our recommendation for Disney World would be the Joovy Caboose Ultralight stroller. You can say goodbye to aching backs by having your older kid behind the stroller. And best of all, this model is usable on its own, and you don’t need to buy other accessories.

The Caboose is still narrow enough to fit through walkways and crowds. However, you should expect that because it is a sit and stand stroller; it wouldn’t be the easiest to control. It may take some time to get used to pushing it. However, we appreciate how easy the linked parking brake is to use.

Why is it Great for Disney World?

As we have mentioned earlier, Caboose is great for Disney World because it gives you the ability to take kids of different ages in just one stroller. The rear passenger can choose to stand and hold at the frame for support or sit comfortably while facing you. We checked the model’s safety, and we’re glad that it doesn’t threaten to tilt.

You can recline the front seat with one hand, although it wouldn’t be able to recline fully because of the design. However, if your older child happens to get tired or you need a way to keep both kids within your eyesight, a sit and stand stroller is the solution. Caboose also has an extension of the canopy so that if your child at the rear is sitting, he/she will get shade.

For Infants to Toddlers

If you have a baby, you can also use Jooby’s car seat adapter to turn Caboose into a travel system. We like this flexibility because it gives you a wider range of age groups that can use this stroller. You won’t need to buy a separate stroller if you have an infant.

Storage for All

For storage, Caboose has a basket that is surprisingly easy to access. However, it is smaller in size, so a large diaper bag may not fit. There are also pockets at both sides of the seat for the child sitting at the front. And don’t worry because Joovy hasn’t forgotten about you. You’ll get a neoprene organizer at the handle with 2 cup holders to keep your small items within reach. We like that there are Velcro and zippered pockets to keep items like keys and money safe.

How does it folds? Because of its overall build, you’ll need both hands to get it to collapse. It isn’t as quick as the other units because you’ll eventually need to bend over to finish folding. On the contrary, unfolding it is much simpler. We just wished that it was auto-locking and self-standing.

Pros
  • Narrow and easy-to-use brakes
  • Can be used for toddlers and infants
  • Child at the rear can either sit or stand
  • Side pockets
  • Parent organizer
  • One-step unfolding
Cons
  • Small basket
  • Not auto-locking and self-standing

Gb Pockit Air – Best Lightweight Stroller for Disney World

Traveling, regardless if you’re going to a park like Disney World or to somewhere else, your life will be significantly less stressful if you bring a lightweight stroller. What we have here only weighs 9.5 pounds and is generally compact, so it is the epitome of what a lightweight stroller is. However, we are pleased that the Pockit Air is still stable and safe even if it weighs less.

Why is it Great for Disney World?

This makes the Pockit Air fitting for your next visit in Disney World because it is easy as pie to push, fold, and carry. Steering it is barely a sweat even if it has two handles. And do not be fooled by the small double wheels because they are durable and stable, especially after locking the ones at the front.

The Compromises

However, the brand compromises the ease of maneuverability by not having a suspension system. But if you’re using it somewhere like Disney Parks where there are no dirt trails, your little one will still feel comfortable. The foot pedal could also be larger, so using it is not as easy, especially when releasing.

Great for Taller Kids

The seat also has a limitation. It is stationary, so you can’t use this stroller for infants. However, the back is nice and long, and you can even adjust the torso length for taller kids. If you have older kids, this one’s for you because the harness also adjusts smoothly. You can even buy a padded inlay if you need it to be warmer. But nonetheless the fabric is breathable and washable for sweltering weather.

Another thing that parents usually comment about on the Pockit is the fact that the canopy isn’t really a canopy. It is simply a flat fabric that covers the top part. However, we think this design is part of the reasons why Pockit is unbelievably compact and lightweight.

You should also lower your expectation for the storage space of this stroller. It isn’t huge, so you should just bring a separate diaper bag or backpack. We also don’t advise hanging it on the handles to prevent the frame from tilting.

Pockit for a Reason

We think the name Pockit is there for a reason. This stroller folds so small that it even held the Guinness World records in 2014. If you need to ride the bus or other transportations around Disney, you can effortlessly carry it on your shoulder.

Fold the canopy and wheels, then press the buttons on the handles to collapse the frame. However, you need to lock the stroller manually. But it is self-standing, so you can keep it on your side when you’re eating food at the restaurant, for example.

Pros
  • Weighing under 10 pounds
  • Effortless maneuverability
  • Adjustable torso length
  • Great for tall kids
  • Folds compact and easily
Cons
  • Stationary seat
  • Useless canopy

Summer 3Dlite – Best for Big Kids

The previous Gb Pockit Air stroller is not the only lightweight stroller that you should consider for Disney World. This more affordable Summer 3Dlite only weighs 13 pounds and uses a solid aluminum frame. However, if we talk about maneuverability, this stroller is not the best on this list.

A Bit So-So…

3Dlite owes its ease of maneuverability to the fact that it is lightweight. However, the dual style of the front wheels makes it harder to turn, especially on uneven terrain.

We should also mention that we don’t recommend this stroller if you plan on wearing flip-flops or sandals on Disney World.

The brakes are single action, but they feel stiff compared to the other models in this review. But on the bright side, you’ll get good shock-absorption on the front and the option to lock the rear wheels for better control.

Large Seat for Big Kids

Before you make a hard pass on 3Dlite, you should know that it has some redeeming qualities. For example, it has a large seat that can accommodate bigger toddlers. You may not be able to adjust it with just one hand, but still, we like the option that it reclines on 4 levels. There is also a footrest, but note that it has no adjustable leg rest. Therefore, expect that this stroller has no bassinet mode, so it is only suitable for toddlers.

On the contrary, the harness offers 3 height positions where you can just slide the straps upward or downward for the shoulder straps. It is also padded so we don’t think the harness will feel comfortable if used for long.

Extendable and Removable Canopy

We should also commend the canopy of this stroller. Like the other umbrella strollers in this review, you can adjust the canopy so that your kid gets protected against harmful UV rays. There is even a visor for additional shade. And to save footprint, you can completely remove the canopy.

Generous Storage

What about the storage? 3Dlite offers a 10-pound capacity basket. The opening is wide, and we have no problem fitting in a large diaper bag. You can even use the pocket at the rear that’s secured with Velcro for smaller items to organize what you need to bring to the park much better. It is also worth noting that this stroller already comes with a cup holder compared to other pricier lightweight strollers.

3-Step Fold

Lastly, 3Dlite folds smoothly in just three steps. It isn’t a foot-free operation because you’ll need to step on the lever to get it to collapse. However, the frame will lock on its own, and you can use the carry strap so you can bring it around Disney comfortably.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Large seat
  • Easy recline and harness adjustments
  • Removable and extendable canopy
  • Large basket
  • With secured rear pocket
  • With cup holder
  • Smooth folding mechanism with auto-lock and carry strap
Cons
  • Average maneuverability
  • No bassinet mode

Baby Trend Range – Best Value for Money

If you are on a budget, the last two strollers on this list are for you. First, let us take a look at the Baby Trend Range jogger. As you probably know by now, jogger strollers are actually good strollers not just for jogging but also for tours in amusement parks. You can easily speed through slow walkers and fit through doors of most stores with ease.

Comfortable Push

Range uses a sturdy steel frame to maintain its stability and durability throughout your trips. And just like any jogging stroller, you can lock the front wheels so you can control it much better on curvy and uneven paths. However, we’ve been seeing comments from users that the front wheels are not that durable.

On the bright side, we like the rubber handles because they feel comfortable to grip and don’t pose the possibility of slipping out of your hands. And of course, you’ll get a wrist strap for an additional safety measure as well. For the brakes, Range uses two rear brakes that are easy to press. The stroller feels secure, so you don’t have to worry about it moving when you park it with your little one inside.

Safe and Comfortable Seat

Now, if you’re wondering about the seat, Range reclines and offers adjustable harness straps. The straps are padded, and they don’t rub uncomfortably on the skin. There are also reflectors on the footrest, which is a plus during night time use of the stroller. Range even has ventilation at the top that you can cover if not needed. And if you are taking a newborn with you, Range is compatible with car seats from Baby Trend that will lock securely in place.

Plenty of Storage

For the storage, it is large and durable enough to carry bulky items. You can use it to hold your child’s toys that you’ve bought or even your bag. Range also comes with trays both for the child and parent. You’ll get a covered compartment with cup holders at both sides, which is nice considering this deal is affordable.

Effortless Fold

How does it fold? Range will fold once you pull the levers at the side. It is pretty easy to learn because the frame folds itself for you anyway. Just remember to put the seat in the farthest recline and lock it manually afterward.

Pros
  • Affordable
  • Comfortable handle
  • With wrist strap
  • Can be transformed into a travel system
  • Adjustable harness
  • Footrest reflectors
  • Plenty of storage
  • Easy to fold
Cons
  • Questionable wheel durability

Chicco Liteway – Best Budget-Friendly Stroller for Disney World

You don’t have to spend part of your child’s college fund to get the best stroller for Disney World. The Chicco Liteway is the most affordable stroller in our list, but it is still impressive. For starters, it is called Liteway for a reason. It uses a lightweight aluminum frame to make it easier to bring around or push around.

Good Maneuverability

You can also lock the front wheels and take advantage of the shock-absorbing system at the rear to lessen your effort when pushing. It can turn nicely and will handle walks around the park, and even the double-action brakes are not that stiff to engage.

What We Don’t Like

What about the seat? We’re pleased to inform you that Liteway reclines in 4 positions with just one hand. You can also adjust the footrest to make the ride more comfortable. However, it is also the seat, which has the drawbacks we have for this model. For example, you can’t use Liteway for infants because it doesn’t accept car seats.

At the same time, the harness straps are separated from each other. Unlike most strollers on this list, the shoulder straps of Liteway are not connected to the waist harness permanently. This adds to the work when you have to buckle your little one.

And even though you can adjust the canopy, it is still small and almost useless in providing excellent coverage. It also doesn’t have a peek-a-boo window, which would’ve provided better airflow. On the bright side, you can remove the canopy to get a smaller storage footprint.

As for the storage, the opening is large, so putting in or taking the contents out is easy. However, it has a smaller capacity, so only a medium-sized diaper bag will fit. You will also get a cup holder but no parent console.

Familiar Fold

Like a typical umbrella stroller, Liteway can collapse with just one hand. And while it doesn’t self-stand, it does lock on its own. You can also use the included strap so you can carry the stroller much easier.

Pros
  • Affordable
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to push
  • Flip-flop-friendly brakes

Buyer’s Guide

Factors to Consider in Buying a Stroller for Disney World

  • Size

As you will read below, Disney has guidelines and policies regarding the use of strollers in their parks and in Disney World. Be updated on the size that’s allowed to make sure what you’re buying is usable on the premises. At the same time, size is always a significant factor when traveling because a bulky stroller will be uncomfortable to use and bring around folded or unfolded.

  • Maneuverability

Disney World and Disneyland parks are going to be crowded. And since you’ll be pushing the stroller for long periods, it should be easy to maneuver around. You know the usual features to check, which includes the suspensions system, brakes, handlebar, wheels, and the weight of the stroller. It will hugely help if you are familiar with the model so that you won’t get stressed at the park where your child might also be throwing a tantrum because he/she didn’t see Pluto. Did you get the idea?

  • Portability

As we have previously discussed, the model’s size and weight can affect its maneuverability and, now, portability. You might be riding a plane or going on a long car ride, so you’ll need something that folds compact. At the same time, you need to quickly and easily fold the stroller when you’re riding transportations around Disney. If it is heavy and complicated to fold, you might not even enjoy the whole trip.

  • Comfort

Lastly, both you and your child’s comfort is also important to consider. You want your trip to Disney World to be memorable but in a good way. For starters, the handlebar of the stroller should be comfortable to grip and does not put you in an awkward posture. And what about the brake pedal? If you’re thinking of wearing sandals around Disneyland, save your toes the pain by checking the stroller’s pedal first.

We want to avoid a bulky stroller, so understandably, the basket storage might not be as big. However, you might feel more comfortable to put every baby gear all in the stroller to avoid misplacing them. A parent console or even a zippered compartment will keep your essentials within reach, so you don’t need to bring an additional bag. Your child might also appreciate it if he/she has a tray of his/her own for snacks and toys while strolling around the park.

At the same time, be aware of the weather and be ready by having a generous canopy. Anything that will shade your little one that is also breathable is what you should be looking for in a stroller for Disney World.

Bonus FAQs and Tips

Should You Bring a Stroller in Disney?

Disneyland, Disney World, or any other theme park is a big area. And if you have a baby or toddler with you, you need something to help carry your child around. Your child might boast that he/she prefers to walk around, but eventually, kids will get tired, and you’ll need a stroller to take him/her with you safely. He/she will be covered by the canopy, so you don’t have to worry about harmful UV rays. And you can also use the stroller to carry other essentials.

Disney does allow rental of strollers. However, different parks have different guidelines. Disney World requires the strollers within the parks and Disney Springs. Disneyland, on the other hand, only allows the usage of the rented stroller at the parks and Downtown Disney. It will be more convenient for you to bring a stroller on your own since you’ll be surely bringing it outside the parks. You are also more used to it, so you’ll be more comfortable in pushing it around the park. And of course, you’ll be saving more by bringing your own compared to renting one every time you visit Disney.

What are the Regulations for Kids and Strollers?

Disney World has guidelines and regulations that you must follow when using a stroller. For starters, you have to remember that there are designated areas for strollers. Otherwise, you risk having your stroller moved by the staff to keep the park organized and walkways unblocked.

Make sure you remember what your model looks like in case it gets moved. Some parents even add balloons or ribbons just to make their stroller easier to distinguish and spot in the crowd. You can also add a GPS tracker even though stroller theft is unlikely.

Disney will update their rules, so make sure that they are always on the know before visiting. The latest regulations for strollers is that they should have a maximum length of 52 inches and 31 inches wide regardless of their type (e.g., double or single.) You should also skip the stroller wagons since they are prohibited.

Bonus Tip When Going to Amusement Parks/Theme Parks with Kids

Regardless if you’re going to a local amusement park or visiting Disney World, you have to make sure that your child is comfortable. To avoid potential tantrums from waiting or rides that they are denied, you can always keep snacks and drinks. Toys and other sources of entertainment will also come in handy as sources of distractions.

Conclusion

Your child (or children) will surely remember their trip to Disney World. And it is safe to assume that you will end up visiting the happiest place on earth, not just once. You can make your day more comfortable by bringing your own stroller. This keeps your little one (ones) comfortable and safe while you meet your favorite characters.

Our top pick is the Chicco Cortina Together. It is a double stroller with an inline orientation which makes it narrow and easy to fit through doors and crowds. You can also make it easier to control by locking the front wheels and adjusting the handle accordingly. And what’s great with this stroller is you can use it for infants up to toddlers. Afterward, you can hop on buses and other transportation around Disney World by quickly folding the Cortina.
